Celebrating Comics in the Library!
The manga in the spotlight for the entire month of May
Montreal, April 25, 2018 – Comics is a great medium to bring young and old to reading and fortunately Montreal libraries are fulfilled! For a 7th year, 45 libraries offer you the opportunity to discover this very art form varied. On the program: meeting of authors, creative workshops, 3D origami, creation of a comic book and its soundtrack, and more! BD Month in library, which explores the manga, runs throughout the month of May. he culminates at the Montreal Comic Strip Festival on May 26 and 27, with the presence of Library kiosk at La Fontaine Park.
BD Month is for both initiates and neophytes who want explore the world of comics by participating in activities and borrowing a among the 400,000 comic strips and 1,200 digital comics available. The comics is a huge success in libraries; she represents almost a loan out of five. Comics appeal to any age: if 76% of borrowed books are comics youth, 24% finds takers in adults.

For this 7th edition of the Month of the comic, come to discover the universe of the manga. In more mangas for youth, better known in the North American market, discover the amazing universe of adult mangas with satirical comedies, thrillers, horror stories and even cooking.
