OIFFA announces the official dates of its 6th edition

Ottawa — OIFFA (the Ottawa Indian Film Festival Awards) is extremely pleased to announce it will finally be back in person for the 2023 Festival. With an exciting selection of Indian films awaiting the public in cinemas for a 6th year, OIFFA will take place from June 13 to 17, 2023.

OIFFA is the National Capital’s and Eastern Canada’s preeminent festival dedicated to Indian cinema and all things Indian with its OFFICIAL COMPETITION and SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS sections open to filmmakers from India and the Indian diaspora as well as films featuring Indian content.

In its 6th year now, the Festival is extremely pleased to announce that it will be diversifying its offer for the first time in 2023 with the addition of a new section called OIFFA WORLD that will show a short selection of films from around the world favoured by the Festival’s Director of programming. Wishing to cultivate not only an audience for Indian cinema and Indian culture in Ottawa, the Festival also wants its audiences to open up to and welcome the various cinemas of the world.
