Shubho Nobo Borsho! Happy Bangla New Year!
Montreal, April 19, 2015 – The Bangladeshi Society of Montreal organized with great care on its tenth year of success, the Bangla New Year 1422, which was celebrated with much enthusiasm and fervour. Majority of the Bangladeshi community was found in Cote-des-Neiges on this evening – mingling, chattering, singing, dancing and simply enjoying themselves. The chairman of RTV Dhaka was one of the special guest at the event.
The New Year Lunch was served followed by the cultural program that went on for five hours. Mrs. Jesmin Ara sang some Bollywood and folk Bangali tunes in her melodious voice. More of enchanting songs and traditional Bangali dances were simply breathtaking. The best Bangladeshee singers and Dinat Jahan Munni from Dhaka performed in the show.
