Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India)
Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India has announced a Quiz programme ‘Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India)’ for the Indian Diaspora youth across the globe. It is intended to educate the youth about India’s progress in various fields like Finance, Science & Technology, Manufacturing Industry, Communication & Information Technology etc. and also about the different facets of life in India. The quiz program is to help the diaspora youth and NRIs to learn and understand the culture, history and the development of their ancestral country, and deepen their engagement with India. The Quiz is open for both PIOs and NRIs between the age group of 18 – 35 years of age as on 2nd October 2015. (Born between 3rd October 1980 and 2nd October 1998).
- The Online Quiz aims to reach out to:
- PIOs – A participant must hold a valid PIO card or number / OCI Card or number / OCI or PIO card or either of the parents or one of his grandparents from the maternal or paternal side are OCI/PIO card holders.
- NRIs – A participant can be an NRI with valid Indian passport and work permit of country of residence, certifying his/her NRI status.
- The registration begins on November 25, 2015 and ends on December 12, 2015. There is no entry fee for this Quiz. Details of terms and conditions are available here.
