    What will be open and closed for Labor Day in Montreal

    What will be open and closed for Labor Day in Montreal

    Montreal, August 30, 2018 – Several facilities and services of the City of Montreal will change their schedule on the occasion of Labor Day.

    Several offices of the City of Montreal will be closed Monday, September 3, 2018, the borough offices, offices Accès-Montreal and the various service points.

    The collections

    The various collections (household waste, bulky waste, recyclable materials, food residues, green residues and dead leaves) will take place according to the usual schedules in all the boroughs, except for the collection of green waste in the borough of Montreal-North which will be done Tuesday, September 4 in sectors 1 and 2. For information, visit ville.montreal.qc.ca/collectes or call 311.

    Ecocentres

    The ecocentres will be open according to the regular summer schedule, every day from 8 am to 6 pm. For more information, visit ville.montreal.qc.ca/ecocentres or call 514 872-0384.

    Sports and cultural facilities

    The many sports and cultural facilities, such as arenas, swimming pools, sports centers, tennis courts, libraries and cultural venues, have a varied schedule depending on the district. The public is invited to communicate directly with the staff of the affected areas before traveling.

    The Claude-Robillard sports complex will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018. For information on the Sports Complex, call 514 872-6900.

    The Montreal Soccer Stadium will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018. For information on the Soccer Stadium, call 514 872-3668.

    Space for life

    The facilities will be open to the public on Monday, September 3, 2018, with the exception of the Montréal Biodôme, which is closed due to renovations:

    The Botanical Garden, 9 am to 6 pm
    Montreal Insectarium, 9 am to 6 pm
    The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, 9 am to 5:30 pm

    The municipal court

    The Municipal Court, located at 775 Gosford Street, will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018, along with all of its points of service. For more details, call 514 872-2964.

    Parking

    Automated payment kiosks remain paid during the Labor Day holiday. Parking signs must also be respected at all times.

    The City of Montréal invites the public to visit the website ville.montreal.qc.ca or dial 311 for more information on the opening and closing of facilities.
