    The Montréal Sustainable Accelerator will
    facilitate collaboration and achieving goals

Montreal, January 25, 2018 – Jean-François Parenteau, member of the executive committee responsible for the environment and sustainable development, today participates in the launch of the Montréal Sustainable Accelerator, along with Mr. Richard Deschamps, President of Concertation Montreal.

“Resolutely focused on the future, the City of Montreal has been committed to sustainable development for more than a decade, in collaboration with the Montréal community. To achieve the goals that the City has set itself, the consultation of partners is essential. We want to build on this momentum and the Montréal Sustainable Accelerator will help facilitate this collaboration, with the goal of making Montréal a green city, one of sustainable mobility, with neighborhoods where life is good, “said Parenteau.

The Accelerator will facilitate the achievement of the sustainable development commitments of the 2016-2020 Sustainable Montreal Plan partner organizations. It aims, in particular, to support partners in identifying their needs and defining their commitments, to activate thinking about solutions and to develop tools to implement commitments. It will also connect partners with relevant resources that can facilitate action and activities that encourage networking among partners.

“This is a concrete way to help sustainable development partners achieve the actions of the Sustainable Montréal Plan. I would like to thank the partners for their involvement and to salute the work of Concertation Montréal and the City of Montreal in launching the Accelerator, “commented Jean-François Parenteau, member of the executive committee responsible for the environment. and sustainable development.

Inspire, create, equip, connect and promote: this is the mission our team has set to help partners in implementing their commitments. We invite organizations to contact us today, “said Richard Deschamps, President of Concertation Montréal.

All partner organizations can request assistance from the Montréal 2016-2020 Sustainable Accelerator, at any time during the implementation process, whether to develop, initiate, implement or improve their commitments.

    Thoughts of Many

My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition.
