RISE FOR A CAUSE!  JOIN THE YOGATHON MOVEMENT

108 sun salutations | 365 days of education

Roll out your mat – Educate a child – Change the world

August 9, 2017, Montreal – On Saturday, August 19, join your local Montreal community of yogis in taking the Yogathon challenge. Seven cities across Canada and over 50 cities worldwide will rise together for a cause through yoga to benefit Care for Children, a program providing free education to disadvantaged children in India.

More than a fundraiser, Rise for a Cause Yogathon is a community-building event and global initiative of the Art of Living Foundation to raise awareness about the right of all children to an education and the role of yoga in a healthy lifestyle. Beginner and advanced yoga practitioners alike will challenge their minds and bodies to complete 108 sun salutations and in the process help educate children through the Care for Children program.

This year, yoga enthusiasts from Canada, France, the United States, Kurdistan and Lebanon will roll out their yoga mats for the sixth edition of the Yogathon challenge. Participating Canadian cities include Halifax, Montreal, Windsor, London, Toronto, Calgary, and Victoria. So, rise to the occasion, join us and earn some good karma!

By having access to holistic education, these children are empowered with the tools, knowledge, skills and confidence they need to shape a better future for themselves, their families, their communities and the world.
