A group of long time residents of Parc Extension are genuinenly concerned about health. They want to bring awareness how Parc-Ex is turning into a slum since the City has reduced garbage pick up in 2018 to once a week in order to divert recycling and compost away from landfills due to climate warming.

Their communication campaign is failing. As a result, the streets are lined up with garbage attracting rodents. Rats and mice are creating sanitary risks.

I remember about a decade back when such care was taken to make the looks of the buildings clean and attractive and all garbage was taken care of. A place as congested as Parc-Ex doesn’t even need special measures to deal with the hygeine. At least the Borough can help to keep the same measures as before for garbage pick up.
